About the Materials

Putting It All Together
With a combination of imagination and creativity, humor and awareness, collective memory and personal learning, Sally Fox selects, gathers and combines beautiful components from every corner of the globe. Working closely with stone cutters and craftspeople in many countries, Ms. Fox carefully chooses the finest gemstone beads and pearls, exquisite carvings and handcrafted precious metal components. Bringing these treasures to her worktable, she combines them to create unique and wonderful pieces of jewelry.

Affordable Luxury

The Gemstones
Believing that every woman should experience the pleasure and personal power of wearing beautiful gemstones, Ms. Fox endeavors to maintain affordability in her work. By drawing on her extensive knowledge of colored stones and working directly with trusted gem dealers close to the source, the highest quality gemstone beads are acquired at the best prices. Each gemstone and pearl is hand selected by the artist for its beauty, color and cut.
Sleeping Beauty Turquoise, named for the mine in Arizona which produces it, has long been a favorite of Ms. Fox and has become a signature stone for her work. The vibrant, pure turquoise blue and lack of matrix in the stones is particularly well suited to representing the beauty of the Hawaiian islands.

The Precious Metals
The precious metals employed in the jewelry are fine and sterling silver as well as 24-karat gold. "I love the look of 24-karat but pure gold is too soft to be durable" says the artist "by electroplating it over fine or sterling silver at a thickness of 40 micro inches - that's 10 times the thickness of standard gold plate! - I can achieve the rich, elegant finish that I love in a piece that will hold up to wear".
Earrings range in price from $65 - $500, bracelets and necklaces from $195 - $5300.

A Positive Impact
The pleasure of working with these beautiful materials is matched only by the pleasure of sharing the joy of wearing them. Like a pebble in a pond, the positive impact spreads far beyond the starting point!
